The organizational issue was discussed at the meeting held at the Syrdarya regional administration.
According to a Kun.uz correspondent, Akmal Mahmudaliev was unanimously approved by the session participants as the governor of Syrdarya region.
Participating in the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev reminded the new governor of the region about his duties:
“Mahmudaliev’s task now is to realize the plans and initiatives mentioned today, transfer them into the lifestyle of the population. If Mahmudaliev can do this, our people will be satisfied. Now Akmal Mahmudaliev, who has been highly trusted by the people’s representatives, must serve serve the people of Syrdarya region with justice, loyalty, honesty and selflessness,” the president said.
It was also emphasized that starting today, the new governor, his deputies, district and city governors, sector leaders, activists, entrepreneurs and young people should come together and bring innovation to every district and city, village and mahalla.
In November 2022, Akmal Mahmudaliev was appointed as the acting governor of Syrdarya region.
Prior to that, he worked as a responsible official of the Cabinet of Ministers, governor of Uchkuprik district of Fergana region, deputy governor of Navoi region for agriculture and water management issues.
