During the period, authorities disrupted the activities of 89 major drug trafficking groups and seized 1.4 tons of conventional narcotics, 61.7 kilograms of synthetic drugs, and 4.6 million psychotropic and other potent substances, the Agency for Control of Narcotics and Firearms has reported.
Overall, enforcement and preventive operations resulted in the seizure of 2.708 tons of narcotics, psychotropic substances and potent drugs involved in illegal trafficking.
Authorities also shut down 15 online drug stores and blocked 1,911 internet resources with more than 630,000 subscribers. These included 609 Telegram bots, 1,004 private channels, groups and chats, and 298 public ones.
A total of 10.5 tons of precursors used to manufacture synthetic drugs were seized, while 18 illegal drug laboratories were uncovered.
Authorities detained 7,316 people suspected of drug-related crimes. They included 77 minors, 607 women, 2,346 young people, 1,296 previously convicted individuals and 610 unemployed people. A total of 127 foreign nationals were also identified as having been involved in such crimes.
As part of drug prevention efforts, 831,600 awareness-raising and educational activities were held, targeting the general population, particularly young people. Some 17.2 million people took part, including 11.6 million young people.
The authorities also reported 209,100 media and online publications covering the consequences of drug use and drug-related crime.
