Administrative fines, fees and duties increased in Uzbekistan from today
From Monday, May 1, fines, fees and duties are increasing in Uzbekistan.
It should be recalled that on March 28 this year, the President signed a decree "On increasing wages, pensions and benefits."
According to the document, from May 1 of this year, the base calculating amount on the territory of the republic will be 330,000 soums per month.
Earlier, it was reported that from September 1, 2019, in Uzbekistan, instead of the minimum wage, they introduced the minimum payout for labor, the base calculating amount and the basic amount of pension calculation.
The base calculating amount is used in determining:
- the amount of taxes, fees, fines, state duties and other payments for the public services provided;
- the cost of a patent, license and other payments for engaging in a certain type of entrepreneurial activity, the size of authorized and other funds (capital) of organizations, the cost of shares paid for in cash, other securities, the book value of assets of legal entities, the maximum amount of microcredits and leasing, as well as other financial and economic indicators.
At one time, administrative fines and other payments were interconnected with the size of the MPL. With an increase in wages, fines, duties, etc. automatically increased.
According to the relevant presidential decree, the system of voluntary payment of fines for administrative offenses has been simplified since May 1 this year.
According to the document, if the offender voluntarily pays 50% of the fine within 15 days from the date of the decision to impose a fine, and 70% within 30 days, he is exempt from paying the remaining part of the fine.
This procedure also applies to fines imposed on the basis of court decisions.
