Four men rape a 13-year-old girl in Bukhara 

Earlier, one of the local publications reported that a 13-year-old girl was raped by 4 men in the desert in Bukhara.

Allegedly, the girl lived with her brother’s family after the death of her mother. The girl’s sister-in-law forced her to have sex with strange men. Despite the girl’s resistance, the men used force and sexually assaulted her. 4 men forcibly took the young girl to one of the huts in the desert. In addition to the driver, three men took turns raping the 13-year-old girl.

In order to get official information about the case, UzNews.uz reporter contacted Shukhrat Jalolov, the head of the Bukhara regional DIA information service.

He said that a criminal case was initiated by the Bukhara regional DIA Investigative Department under Article 118 (rape), part 4 of the Criminal Code (raping a person under the age of 14 is punishable by deprivation of liberty from 15 to 20 years). Investigative activities are being conducted.

At the moment, three persons and the driver, who are suspected of taking a 13-year-old girl to the desert and raping her, have been detained. It is being determined by an experienced investigator whether there are others involved in this case. All processes are carried out in accordance with the law. Following the investigation, punishment measures will be applied to the culprits in accordance with the law.
