During the visit, Quranic verses were recited and prayers were offered for peace and prosperity for the people of Uzbekistan.

The Bahauddin Naqshband complex is one of the Islamic world’s major pilgrimage sites. It was built around the burial site of Bahauddin Naqshband, the founder of the Naqshbandi Sufi order.


The complex includes the mausoleum, a khanqah, mosques, a burial structure and a museum documenting the history of Sufism.
