Zhao Leji is also a member of the Political Bureau Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.

The talks focused on the growing partnership between Uzbekistan and China, with particular attention to strengthening ties between the two countries’ legislative bodies.

“During our candid discussion, we reviewed the strengthening of relations between Uzbekistan and China in recent years, driven by consistent and effective dialogue between our leaders. Interparliamentary ties are also entering a new stage,” Mirziyoyeva wrote on her Telegram channel.

She said Uzbekistan highly values China’s support and its interest in jointly implementing practical projects in transport, trade, education and culture.

The two sides also discussed plans for further cooperation, Mirziyoyeva said, stressing the importance of turning existing agreements and initiatives into concrete results.
“We have many shared plans ahead, and the main task is to consistently put them into practice,” she said, thanking Zhao Leji for the open and substantive discussion.
