Police arrest man who embezzled more than $55 thousand, promising 47 people to send to Umrah 

According to the press service of the capital's police department, in April, 27-year-old M. M. promised to help 43-year-old F. M. send 47 people on a pilgrimage. He asked $55,250 for it.

However, M. M. did not fulfill his promise and spent the money on his own needs.

On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (Fraud), and an investigation is underway.
