A judoka from Uzbekistan becomes silver medalist at World Championships in Qatar
This result brought the Uzbek athlete 1,400 points on the way to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
On the first day of the World Judo Championship in Qatar, an athlete from Uzbekistan Dilshodbek Baratov won a silver medal in the weight category up to 60 kg, the NOC press service reported.
The first place in the competition was secured by an athlete from Spain, Francisco Garrigos.
It is noted that Dilshodbek Baratov received his first medal at the world championships.
“This result will allow the Uzbek wrestler to score 1,400 points in the world rankings and on the way to the Paris 2024 Olympics,” the National Olympic Committee noted.
