According to the Migration Agency, Behzod Musayev, the director of the agency, held talks on May 5 with Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, Qatar’s Minister of Labor.

The talks centered on launching targeted training courses to prepare Uzbek candidates for high-demand jobs in Qatar, including medicine, tourism, aviation, and IT. Following the negotiations, the sides agreed to establish a dedicated working group.

Furthermore, representatives from the Qatari ministries of labor and health are expected to visit Uzbekistan to inaugurate a training program specifically designed to prepare medical staff according to Qatari standards.

The Uzbek delegation also held talks with Abdulhadi Barkan, the head of the state-owned recruitment organization Jusour. These discussions focused on the logistics of the upcoming Uzbekistan–Qatar Labor Forum, scheduled for September. The event is expected to feature more than 50 Qatari employers looking to hire talent from Uzbekistan.

In a separate meeting with Fathi Atti, Vice President of Qatar Airways, the airline outlined its immediate and long-term recruitment goals. By the end of June, the carrier plans to select 65 candidates for high-paying positions, including flight attendants, engineers, and airport service staff.

Beyond this initial intake, Qatar Airways intends to launch a large-scale project to attract 1,600 specialists from Uzbekistan. This initiative will target university graduates with expertise in flight operations, engineering, mechanics, and electrical engineering.
