Price of alcohol products may increase from June 1
In Uzbekistan, a project to increase the price of alcohol products from June 1 has been discussed. The last time prices increased was in December 2021.
The project on revision of the minimum wholesale and retail prices for alcohol products by the Ministry of Economy and Finance was placed on the portal for discussing regulatory legal documents.
It is noted that from June 1, 2023, minimum wholesale and retail prices for alcohol products will be increased. The last time the minimum wholesale and retail prices of alcohol products were increased on December 1, 2021.
Thus, the following minimum wholesale/retail prices are set for 1 liter of alcohol products:
●vodka and other alcoholic products - 37 thousand soums / 43 thousand soums (previously - 30,200 / 36,200);
●cognac — 57,400 soums / 66,000 soums (48,200 / 57,800);
●wine — 14,400 soums / 16,400 soums (12,000 / 14,200).
At the end of 2022, it was proposed to increase the age limit for the sale of alcohol and tobacco products in Uzbekistan by one year compared to the current law, to 21 years.
