On May 26, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the CEO of Air Products Seifi Ghasemi.
According to the press service of the head of state, during the meeting, issues of further expansion of practical cooperation with a leading American company, which is a global leader in its field, to promote high-tech projects in strategic sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan were considered.
“The President congratulated the head of the company on the successful completion of the transaction and the signing of an agreement on the acquisition of three industrial gas installations of the GTL plant in the Kashkadarya region with the attraction of direct investments in the amount of $1 billion,” the report reads.
The participation of Air Products in another major project was also noted - the construction of a gas chemical complex using MTO technology in the Bukhara region with an investment of at least $700 million.
Particular attention is paid to promising projects for the development of "green" hydrogen in the country, where another key partner is the Saudi company ACWA Power. Separately, the importance of training highly qualified specialists in the framework of ongoing projects was noted.
