More than 280 thousand births registered in Uzbekistan over four months
In January-April 2023, 280,800 live births were recorded in Uzbekistan.
According to the Statistics Agency, the figure increased by 4.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.
The number of live births during the reporting period by birth order:
- the first child in the family (firstborn) - 66.6 thousand
- the second child - 91.2 thousand
- the third child - 80 thousand
- the fourth and subsequent children - 43 thousand
