SSS arrests a road construction official for demanding 1.3 billion soums in Khorezm

In cooperation with employees of the Khorezm regional SSS department and the regional DIA, operative activities were held.

A person working as a department head at “Khorazm Yul Kurilish” LLC was arrested when he demanded 1 billion 306 million soums from the head of the company in return for laying asphalt on 8,500 square meters of land belonging to the family enterprise in Khiva district, and received $48,000 from him.

Also, even though the employee of the Khiva district branch of the State Cadastre Chamber knew that the 4,000 square meters of land in the name of his father-in-law was sold to a buyer in 2021 by notarial procedure, he demanded $60,000 as his share from the citizen who bought the land by proving that he also had a share in this land area. He was caught when he received the requested money through an acquaintance during an operative event.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against these persons.
