Responsible authorities of Andijan Regional Power Grids embezzled 738 million soums

The incident happened in the Pakhtaabad district of the Andijan region.

The regional department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, in cooperation with the Andijan regional department of "Ozenergoinspektsiya", conducted an inspection in the Pakhtaabad district.

During the inspection, it was revealed that the officials of the district power supply company had misappropriated 738 million soums collected from consumers for electricity supply during 2020-2022 and 3 months of this year.

Prosecutor’s office initiated a criminal case against the perpetrators under Article 167 of the Criminal Code and recovered 315 million soums of the material damage.

Currently, an investigation is underway.
