Uzbekistan, US discuss strengthening mutual cooperation

At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strengthening multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and the USA.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs highly appreciates the readiness of the US embassy in Tashkent to support reforms aimed at the prosperity and sustainable development of Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev," says Bakhtiyor Saidov.

Earlier, the US embassy expressed support for the reform program of President Mirziyoyev following the July 9 elections.

“We look forward to working with President Mirziyoyev and the government of Uzbekistan to further deepen economic, educational, humanitarian, and security cooperation between the United States and Uzbekistan,” the embassy said.
