“Kompromatuzb case” to be heard in closed court
On July 18, court proceedings on the “Kompromatuzb case” began in the Shaykhantakhur district court on criminal proceedings. According to the Kun.uz correspondent, the trial, which was initially started in an open manner with the participation of media representatives, was closed at the request of the defendants.
Within the framework of the criminal case:
• former spokesman of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Siyovush Khoshimov has been charged with Article 139 (defamation), Article 165 (extortion), Article 243 (legalization of proceeds derived from criminal activities) of the Criminal Code;
• citizen Akhmadullo Akhmadjonov – with Articles 139 and 165 of the Civil Code;
• Khurshid Daliyev, the founder and editor of the Human.uz website – with Articles 139, 165, 184 (evasion of paying taxes or other mandatory payments) and 243 of the Criminal Code;
• former press secretary of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations Mavluda Mirzayeva – with Article 113 (spreading sexually transmitted diseases or HIV/AIDS) and Article 165 of the Criminal Code.
A total of 19 victims were recorded in the criminal case documents. Among them are the former minister of employment Nozim Khusanov, the former director of the Foreign Labor Migration Agency Afzal Irmatov, the governor of Andijan city Gofurjon Abdurakhmonov.
