MCS denies reports that Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will apply to host the World Cup 2034

Later, the Ministry of Culture and Sports (MCS) commented on the above information, Tengrinews reports.
“The Ministry of Culture and Sports pays special attention to the development of football in Kazakhstan and provides comprehensive support in this direction. However, we note that the issue of hosting the World Cup in Kazakhstan is not being considered, therefore, we are not planning to apply for bidding,” the ministry reported.
Recently, Championat.asia reported that Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan may apply to jointly host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
The statement about this was allegedly made at the summit of officials of the football associations of the Turkic-speaking countries in Kyrgyzstan, where the leadership of both federations was present. It is noted that the idea of joint hosting of the 2034 World Cup was put forward by the head of the Football Federation of Kazakhstan, Adlet Barmenkulov.
It is also known that a number of countries, including Saudi Arabia and China, are already applying to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
