Statistics Agency provides information about population density in Uzbekistan
According to the Statistics Agency, as of July 1, 2023, the average number of permanent residents per 1 square kilometer of land in Uzbekistan was 81.
Compared to the same period last year, the indicator increased by 1.7 people (as of July 1, 2022, the population density in the republic was 79.3 people per sq. km.)
As of July 1, 2023, Uzbekistan’s permanent population was 36,372,437 people.
18,557,500 of the population live in urban areas and 17,814,900 live in rural areas.
