They were caught by operatives while selling 400 million soums of fake money for 160 million soums.
A crime related to production of counterfeit money was exposed in Kiziltepa district, Kun.uz correspondent reported with reference to the information service of the Navoi regional DIA.
Allegedly, on August 6, an operative event was held in cooperation with the regional DIA and other law enforcement agencies. During the event, a resident of the district A.R. agreed to sell a total of 400 million soums of counterfeit money to a conditional buyer for 160 million soums, and he was caught while receiving this money. During the quick interrogation, A.R. stated that he printed the 200,000 soum banknotes together with his acquaintance A.Kh. at the shop belonging to “Qiziltepa Turon” LLC, located in Bulakrabot mahalla, Kiziltepa district.
When the shop was inspected by law enforcement officers, a laptop, a color printer, which were used to print counterfeit bills, and counterfeit money were found there.
The case is currently being investigated.
Earlier in Bukhara, a criminal group that produced counterfeit banknotes worth 100,000 soums was detained.
