SSS prevents illegal circulation of 8.3 kg of opium imported from Tajikistan
Sisters from Samarkand were detained while selling 911 grams of opium for $12,000.
An operative event was held by employees of the Samarkand Regional SSS Department in cooperation with the regional DIA.
During the event, sisters living in Urgut district, born in 1978 and 1986, were caught with material evidence when they sold 911 grams of opium for $12,000. Also, it was found that they received the opium from 2 persons living in this district, and they were also arrested.
In addition, during the search-investigative action in the residences of these persons, 228 grams of opium were taken from the house of one of them, and 7 kg and 187 grams of opium from the house of the other. The narcotic substances were registered with the participation of impartial parties.
It was found that a total of 8 kg and 326 grams of opium was smuggled from the Republic of Tajikistan.
Against these 4 citizens, a criminal case was initiated by the Investigation Department of the Samarkand Regional SSS Department under Article 28,246, Part 2 and Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code. A preventive measure of in the form of detention was applied.
Currently, an investigation is underway.
