Uzbek athletes bagged 7 medals at World Weightlifting Championship in Saudi Arabia
Athletes from Uzbekistan secured 1 bronze, 2 silver, and 4 gold medals in the 2023 IWF Weightlifting World Championships.

The competition was a mandatory qualifying event for Paris 2024, meaning athletes had to participate to earn a quota spot for next year’s Olympic Games.
The national team of Uzbekistan was fifth in overall standings after Armenia, China, Iran, and Colombia and second in the men’s category after China.
The Championship took place from September 3 to 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
