Senate of Oliy Majlis to convene for next plenary session on September 29
One of the most discussed laws will be considered – “On introducing amendments and additions to the Criminal and Administrative Responsibility Codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
A regular meeting of the Council of the Senate of Oliy Majlis was held under the chairmanship of Tanzila Narbayeva. It was noted that at the plenary meeting, a number of issues are planned to be discussed.
Among them are the laws “On the status of a teacher”, “On the introduction of additions and amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of pharmaceutical activities”, “On the introduction of amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of land legislation”, “ On introducing amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Metrology” in connection with the involvement of the private sector in the field of verification of measuring instruments”, “On introducing amendments and additions to the Criminal and Administrative Responsibility Codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
During the plenary session, the laws “On introducing additions and changes to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Prosecutor’s Office” in connection with the determination of additional measures to ensure the rule of law in the system of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “On introducing amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the formation of a unified system of republican executive authorities” will also be discussed.
In addition, senators will consider issues of electing the Deputy Commissioner of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights (Ombudsman) and approving resolutions of the Senate Council.
