Pedophile public officials who raped orphan children in Khorezm sentenced to 3 years in prison

On November 3, the judicial panel of the Tashkent City Court for Criminal Cases of the Appellate Instance considered the criminal case against O. M. (born in 1979, former head of the Khorezm region justice department) and A. K. (born in 1984, former head of the Yangiaryk district department for emergency situations).

This criminal case was considered in a closed court session in accordance with the requirements of Article 19 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

The appellate court canceled the decision of the Khiva District Court for Criminal Cases dated September 6, 2022, according to which citizens A. M. and A. K. were sentenced to 1.5 years of restriction of freedom.

During this period, convicts were prohibited from leaving home from 22:00 to 06:00, as well as changing their place of residence without agreement with the probation authorities.

According to the new verdict, defendants O.M. and A.K. were found guilty of committing crimes under Part 1 of Art. 128 (Entering into sexual intercourse with a person under sixteen years of age) and Art. 128-1 (Entering into sexual intercourse with a person aged sixteen to eighteen years by providing them with material values or property benefits) of the Criminal Code, and were sentenced to 3 years in prison.

Thus, the preventive measure in the form of bail applied to the defendants was canceled, and citizens O.M. and A.K. were taken into custody directly from the courtroom.
