MMA fighter Khumoyun Tukhtamurodov arrested in Fergana

A total of 22 people were arrested during operative events.

On November 27 in the Fergana region, Khumoyun Tukhtamurodov, who was engaged in combat sports, gathered people around him who had a negative impact on various situations, and injured two people in the city of Kokand. When he was hiding from the scene, he was caught by operatives and the inevitable punishment was ensured.

According to the press service of the regional DIA, within the framework of “Zarbdor 40 kunlik” (“40-day challenge”), cooperative search-preventive activities are being held in Fergana region to ensure the stability of the immediate situation and curb crime.

In particular, on the basis of operative information, comprehensive rapid search activities were conducted at the residences and other addresses of 248 persons who have the status of a criminogenic environment. In addition, 106 active rapid search activities were conducted to detect offenses of persons prone to committing crimes, and 66 crimes were detected.

During these events, the following were seized:

•  4 kg 749 grams of drugs;
•  78 psychotropic and powerful substances;
•  41 weapons, ammunition and items that can be used as cold weapons.
•  45 different computers, telephones and religious literature;
•  37 wanted persons, who committed a crime and hid from the court and investigative bodies, were arrested.

A total of 22 gang members were arrested during the special events and their activities were suspended.

It was added that on November 22, a fight broke out between representatives of two gang-oriented groups, A. Rustamov and T. Mirzarahimov, in Oltiarik district. 15 members of the group and their followers were arrested during the raids, and lawful punishment was ensured.

Also, A. Mamirov, who led an organized group and extorted citizens and looted property in other ways during an operative event held in Fergana, was caught red-handed and handed over to investigative authorities.
