Individuals who promised to send a citizen to the USA via Turkey and Mexico arrested in Syrdarya
Those who took $8,100 and 1.2 million soums from a citizen by promising to send him to the USA via Turkey and Mexico were detained in an operative event held in the city of Yangiyer.
Persons suspected of taking money from a citizen by promising to send him to the United States of America were arrested in Syrdarya region, the PGO Department for Combating Economic Crimes reported.
It is noted that in an operative event held by the department and the SSS Department of Syrdarya region in the city of Yangiyer, the citizen Yo.A. (previously convicted), in collusion with his acquaintance U.P., promised to formalize visa documents for sending the citizen M.A. to the United States of America through Turkey and Mexico. The fraudster U.P. was caught red-handed while receiving $8,100 and 1.2 million soums.
A criminal case under Article 168 of the Criminal Code (Fraud) has been initiated. Currently, an investigation is underway.
