Another agreement on the joint production of charging stations for electric vehicles was reached between Uzbekistan and China, the Ministry of Energy reported.

A delegation from the Research Institute of Renewable Energy Sources visited China last week. During the trip, the guests met with representatives of the Henan Suda company.

The parties discussed the implementation of a project for the production of electric filling stations and the exchange of technologies necessary for this. As a result of the meeting, an agreement on cooperation in the field of infrastructure for electric transport was signed.

By 2033, it is planned to install more than 70 centralized and 50 thousand non-centralized charging stations throughout Uzbekistan. They will provide energy to over 700 thousand electric vehicles.

Plans to organize the production of electric filling stations were discussed with companies from a number of countries. Thus, in the spring of 2022, negotiations were reported regarding the organization of joint production with companies from Tatarstan.

Six months later, a cooperation agreement was signed in the field of charging stations with Motrex. At the same time, the Chinese Huawei agreed with the Ministry of Energy to jointly work on infrastructure for electric vehicles.

In October of this year, a representative of the Chinese Ruisu discussed with the khokim of the Fergana region Khairulla Bozorov a project to assemble charging equipment. The companies offered free space for a temporary workshop in Fergana, Kuvasay and Kokand.

According to a presidential decree issued a year ago, it is planned to install 2,500 charging stations across the country by the end of 2024. Their presence will become mandatory for new gas stations, business centers, hotels, shopping and entertainment complexes.

For information, Henan Suda is a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer based in Henan Province and part of the Suda Group. The company was founded in 2010, and eight years later launched sales of its first model.
