Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds a meeting devoted to development of the Armed Forces
The issues of further improvement of combat readiness and combat capability of the troops were discussed there.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting dedicated to defense construction and development of the Armed Forces on January 2.
The meeting discussed the issues of further increasing the combat readiness and combat capability of the troops, providing them with modern weapons and military equipment, modernization of existing weapons, as well as social protection of military personnel, their family members and veterans of the Armed Forces.
The report of the Minister of Defense was heard on the work carried out to increase the effectiveness of the combat and morale-educational training of the troops, administrative bodies, associations, units and units, and higher military educational institutions.
It is noted that during the reporting period, more than 24,000 events were held in the mahallas to train young people in the military-patriotic spirit, and more than 5,000 young people were involved in training sessions at “Jasorat maktablari” (“Courage schools”). In total, more than 580 operational-combat training events were held, in which more than 35 thousand military personnel of the Armed Forces took part.
The importance of providing the national army with modern weapons and military-technical property, continuing the improvement of the military industrial complex was shown at the meeting.
Issues of high-level preparation and holding of festive events dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces and the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland, which will be celebrated on January 14, were also discussed.
Following the meeting, the head of state gave a number of tasks to further improve the activities of the Armed Forces and increase the country’s defense capabilities.
