Centrum Air launched direct flights en route Termez – Jeddah
The airline will fly between cities to transport pilgrims every 15 days.
Centrum Air airline began operating direct flights from Termez to Saudi Jeddah, UzA reports.
The new route is operated by Airbus A320 aircraft and is primarily intended for Umrah pilgrims in Mecca. The first flight took place on the night of January 5.
Flights will operate every 15 days. The journey will take approximately four hours, the report reads.
Centrum Air became the first carrier to connect the two cities directly. It is noted that neighboring Tajikistan is also showing interest in the new flight.
The private carrier launched its first international flight, also to Jeddah, from Namangan in April last year. A little later, the air carrier announced the start of charter flights from Tashkent to Egyptian Sharm el-Sheikh.
On June 5, the company began flying on the Tashkent – Almaty route. In the second half of the same month, Centrum Air connected three regional centers of Uzbekistan – Urgench, Bukhara and Termez – with Moscow.
In July, Centrum Air launched charter flights to Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan, and also began flying from Urgench to St. Petersburg. In August, it also launched weekly flights Tashkent – Doha, and in September, Dubai was included in the company’s list of destinations.
In addition, the carrier began operating charter flights to Goa in December. The list of destinations planned for launch includes Kazan.
