According to the airline, the adjustments specifically target certain regular routes where the increase in fuel prices has had the most substantial impact on overall operating expenses.
The hike in fuel surcharges is intended to partially compensate for these growing costs and ensure the continued stability of the company’s flight program, Spot reported with reference to the carrier.
In its official statement, Centrum Air emphasized that while fuel surcharges are rising, the base fares for its tickets remain competitive. The carrier noted that the changes are limited in scope and are being applied selectively to specific routes rather than across its entire network.
The airline further stated that it is currently taking measures to optimize internal expenses. These efforts are aimed at minimizing the impact of external economic factors on the final cost of air travel for its passengers, maintaining a balance between operational sustainability and affordability.
