Uzbekistan, UK ready to strengthen political and trade-economic ties
On January 10, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muzaffar Madrakhimov held talks with the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the British Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Leo Docherty.
According to the MFA, at the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations and discussed projects for strengthening the Uzbek-British dialogue in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other areas.
It was noted at the meeting that in recent years relations between Uzbekistan and the UK have been intensively developing, and mutually beneficial partnerships on all aspects of the agenda is progressively expanding. The sides stressed that economic diplomacy is considered one of the key components of bilateral cooperation.
The parties also considered international and regional issues.
