Urumqi hosts the first Uzbek-Chinese interregional forum
The opening ceremony of the first Uzbek-Chinese interregional forum took place today in Urumqi (PRC).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event was attended by the Government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjayev, governors of the regions of Uzbekistan and heads of provinces of the PRC, involved ministries and departments, as well as more than 1,200 representatives of the business communities of the two countries.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov, in his speech, informed the event participants about the main directions, results achieved and prospects for the further development of Uzbek-Chinese relations of comprehensive strategic partnership.
On the sidelines of the forum, meetings are held in B2B and G2B formats, and as a result it is planned to sign a significant package of trade contracts and investment agreements.
The “Made in Uzbekistan” exhibition was also organized as part of the forum, the main goal of which is to widely familiarize Chinese business circles with the production, export and investment potential of Uzbekistan.
It should be recalled that on January 23, the three-day state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China begins.
