Citizen of Uzbekistan wanted for fraud detained in Türkiye

A woman accused of embezzling a large amount of money through fraud has been arrested in Istanbul.

According to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, she has been deported to Tashkent.

The 66-year-old woman has been on the wanted list since 2016. She was detained as part of a joint operational event organized by the ministries of internal affairs of Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

Citizens affected by the actions of this person are asked to contact the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul or the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.
