Gov’t increased some allowances from Feb 1
Following the increase of minimum consumption expenses, the amount of pensions and allowances was increased to 621 thousand soums.

Amendments were made to some documents by presidential decree. According to the decree, from February 1, 2024, the amount of the following allowances was set at 621,000 soums:
• allowance for senior citizens who do not have the necessary work experience;
• the minimum amount of the old-age pension during the period of incomplete work, taking into account the additional payment;
• allowance for the legal representative of a child who is engaged in the care of disabled children under 18 years of age who need the care of others;
• allowance for one incapacitated family member of survivors’ allowance recipients (for each incapacitated family member – 212,000 soums);
• the minimum amount of pension for one disabled family member of survivors’ pension recipients.
Earlier, it was reported that the amount of minimum consumer spending for 2024 was set at 621,000 soums per person once a month. The above pension amounts are increased based on the official minimum consumption expenditure.
