From November 1, 2026, people who become unemployed because their jobs are cut or their employer is liquidated will be eligible to receive an old-age pension two years before the standard retirement age. From January 1, 2027, survivor’s pensions will also be assigned proactively, without requiring an application.
Citizens will retain the right to refuse a pension assigned to them through the proactive system.
Starting November 1, 2026, pensions available on preferential terms to people working in hazardous or difficult conditions, as well as those eligible for a reduced retirement age on other grounds, will be available through an interactive service. Citizens will be able to apply through public service centers or the Unified Interactive Public Services Portal, my.gov.uz.
The decision also introduces several new online pension services. From December 1, 2026, citizens will be able to apply to switch from one type of pension to another in accordance with the law on state pension provision. If the newly calculated pension is lower than the one currently being received, the existing pension will remain unchanged.
Citizens will also be able to request a recalculation of their pension based on additional electronic information about employment history and wages submitted by archives or organizations.
From January 1, 2027, applications will be available for switching pension payments to cash and for restoring pension payments that have been suspended.
Citizens will also be able to obtain information on deductions from their pensions made on the basis of court rulings and enforcement documents, as well as information on calculated pensions and voluntarily paid social tax. The registration of pension-related files following a change of residence will also be handled electronically.
New “My pension” service
From January 1, 2027, the new “My pension” online service will allow citizens to access information on periods that count toward their pensionable service, including periods of employment, full-time study at higher education institutions and military service.
The service will also allow users to determine the expected amount of their pension and send electronic requests to state archives for information on employment history and wages.
Citizens who are one year away from reaching retirement age will be notified in advance.
