Young man killed in gas station dispute in Fergana
A 23-year-old man tragically passed away following an altercation at a gas station in the Dangara district of Fergana, Uzbekistan.
Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office, reported that on February 3, a fight broke out at a gas station involving three individuals. The young man, born in 2001, had arrived at the scene to prevent the disorder and separate the quarreling parties but faced aggressive resistance. As a result, he lost consciousness and subsequently died while being transported to the hospital.
In the preliminary investigative actions carried out by the local Department of Internal Affairs, criminal proceedings under Article 277 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code were initiated against two individuals involved in the incident, who have since been detained in a procedural order.
The prosecutor's office of the Dangara district is conducting a pre-investigation check. A forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
