New type of visa to be introduced to enter Khorezm

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is holding a meeting on the priority tasks of socio-economic development of Khorezm region.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that a 3-year program for the development of tourism, which is one of the main drivers of Khorezm, will be adopted.

The income of the tourism support fund is retained by Khorezm for 3 years.

“Uzbekistan – my second home” visa system will be introduced for tourists to enter Khorezm without restrictions for a year.

At the same time, a lack of hotels was noted in a number of districts.

Now, loans are given at 18 percent rate for 7 years with a grace period of 2 years for the construction of hotels and resorts and for increasing the available places.

It was proposed to establish “Lazgi” and “Avesto” museums in the city of Urganch.

Another possibility is that foreign tourists love to eat Khorezm food.

But there is no effort or promotion to show these dishes either in the country or abroad.

In this regard, the importance of launching 24-hour restaurants, cafés and food stalls in the city of Khiva was noted.
