An individual detained in Tashkent region for embezzling electricity worth 1 billion soums
A criminal case was opened against the person who illegally used 226.5 thousand kWh of electricity.

According to the PGO information, N.I., who lives in “Yangi Bog” mahalla of Yangiyul city (Tashkent region), illegally connected mining devices for commercial purposes to the public power grid at his home, that is, he intended to carry out activities in the field of crypto-assets and mining. As a result, he embezzled 226.5 thousand kWh of electricity worth 1 billion soums.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated against the citizen N.I. in accordance with Article 169-4, Paragraph “a” of the Criminal Code, and the suspect was detained in procedural order.
