Airport dispatcher detained in Tashkent for accepting a bribe
The detainee promised to give a job to a citizen he met on social networks for $1,800.
The Mirabad district court on criminal proceedings considered the case against an airport employee detained with a bribe.
According to the case materials, A.V., the dispatcher of the aviation security service at Tashkent International Airport, was detained during an operational event on December 6, 2023. He was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of $1800.
It is noted that A.V. promised a citizen whom he met on social networks to get a job as a dispatcher in the airport’s aviation security service for $2,000. The potential victim agreed to $1,800, with which the suspect was detained.
The court found A.V. guilty under Articles 168 of the Criminal Code (Fraud) and 211 (Giving a bribe) and sentenced him to 2 years of restriction of freedom.
