Mild earthquake hits Uzbekistan
The epicenter of the tremors was in the Kuva district, Fergana region.
The Republican Center for Seismic Forecasting Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports: an earthquake occurred on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan on March 14, 2024, 09:49 local time (03/14/2024, 04:49 GMT).
Epicenter: Fergana region, Kuva district. Earthquake coordinates: 40.55 degrees north latitude; 72.19 degrees east longitude. Magnitude 3.3. Depth 10 km. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is 262 km in a southeast direction.
The strength of tremors on the territory of Uzbekistan:
• Markhamat district: 2-3 points, 10 km.
• Asaka district: 2 points, 13 km.
• Kuva district: 2 points, 15 km.
• Shakhrikhon district: 2 points, 19 km.
