Uzbekistan’s new ambassador presents his credentials to Emir of Qatar
The new Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ashraf Khodjayev yesterday presented his credentials to the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
The ceremony took place at Lusail Palace in Doha. After walking around the guard of honor, the ambassador had an audience with the head of Qatar.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani conveyed sincere words of greetings and best wishes to the respected President of Uzbekistan.
He recalled with particular warmth his first visit to Uzbekistan in June last year, visiting the historical city of Samarkand.
The Emir emphasized that relations between Qatar and Uzbekistan are developing very dynamically. He pointed out the enormous potential for actively increasing cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
At the end of the conversation, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani wished the Ambassador of Uzbekistan every success in developing bilateral relations for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
It should be recalled that Ashraf Khodjayev arrived in Doha on February 11 as the first Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Qatar with residence in Doha.
