FlyArystan Airlines is launching regular flights on the route Almaty - Nukus - Almaty, the air carrier reported on its Instagram profile.
The Kazakhstani low-cost airline will operate flights three times a week - every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The first flight on the route is scheduled for June 3.
Ticket prices start from 29 thousand Kazakh tenge (811,130 soums at the current Central Bank exchange rate). Prices are valid at time of publication.
The national airline of Kazakhstan, Air Astana, announced the creation of the low-cost travel brand FlyArystan in November 2018. As reported then, the low-cost carrier will operate on the lines of Easyjet, Indigo, Cebu Pacific and Air Asia.
Less than two months passed from the establishment of the company to applications for the first flights. In April 2019, FlyArystan held a presentation of the first aircraft for the media, and on May 1 made the first commercial flight from Almaty to Nur-Sultan (now Astana).
The head of Air Astana, Peter Foster, announced plans to launch FlyArystan flights to the cities of Uzbekistan - first to Tashkent, Nukus, Karshi and the Fergana Valley, then to Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. He also announced his intention to act as a partner in the creation of an Uzbek low-cost airline.
In March 2023, FlyArystan, after a break, launched flights from Almaty to Samarkand. Since May, it also began flying between Astana and Tashkent.
