The Agency for External Labor Migration has issued a statement to citizens of Uzbekistan who are traveling to, staying in, or leaving Russia, in response to an incident that occurred on March 22.
Due to a terrorist attack that took place in the Moscow region of the Russian Federation, security measures have been tightened across the entire nation. Consequently, the Agency for External Labor Migration of Uzbekistan has asked Uzbek nationals to observe the heightened security protocols while in Russia.
The agency has advised citizens to always carry identification and documents that validate their legal right to stay or work in the country, to refrain from visiting public places without need, to avoid contact with strangers or individuals who seem suspicious, to not store any prohibited photo, audio, or video materials on phones and other devices, and if travel is necessary, to arrive at train stations or airports earlier than usual.
The announcement also mentioned that Uzbeks facing any problems or other pertinent questions can reach out to the consular offices of Uzbekistan or the representative office of the Agency for External Labor Migration.
