Foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Cyprus discuss issues of expanding cooperation over the phone
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov yesterday held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Konstantinos Kombos.
“We are pleased to have a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus H.E. Konstantinos Kombos. We value the stable and growing dialogue between our governments. They emphasized their mutual readiness to further expand and strengthen Uzbek-Cypriot cooperation at the bilateral level, as well as within the EU,” the head of the Uzbek FM wrote on his telegram channel.
It should be recalled that the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Cyprus in September 2023, on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, held negotiations in New York City, at which they discussed the implementation of the existing potential in Uzbek-Cypriot relations, expanding the legal framework for cooperation, holding inter-Ministry of Foreign Affairs political consultations and strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue.
