As part of his visit, Ambassador Fayzullayev met with Stavros Stavrou, President of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who praised the outcomes of his visit to Uzbekistan in July. “Uzbekistan left a remarkable impression on me,” Stavrou remarked. “There is significant potential for cooperation in trade and investment. We are pleased to implement the idea of establishing the Cyprus-Uzbekistan Business Association in collaboration with the Embassy of Uzbekistan.”
The founding meeting of the association was attended by representatives of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and companies involved in the initiative. Ambassador Fayzullayev highlighted Uzbekistan's transformative reforms and the country's vast trade and investment potential. The founding document of the business association was officially approved during the meeting.
The newly formed association aims to enhance economic, financial, banking, trade, and tourism relations between Cyprus and Uzbekistan while advocating for the interests of the business communities of both nations.
