Mild tremors felt in Namangan after a magnitude 4 earthquake hit Kyrgyzstan
The strength of the tremors was 2 points in the Yangikurgan and Chartak ditricts. The epicenter of the earthquake is located 261 km northeast of Tashkent.
The Republican Center for Seismic Forecasting Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports: 04/04/2024, Tashkent time at 03:43 (04/03/2024, 22:43 GMT) an earthquake occurred in Kyrgyzstan.
Earthquake coordinates: 41.88 degrees north latitude; 72.24 degrees east longitude. Magnitude 4, depth 5 km. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is 261 km in a northeast direction.
The strength of tremors on the territory of Uzbekistan:
• Yangikurgan district: 2 points, 81 km.
• Chartak district: 2 points, 91 km.
