Tashkent hosting key diplomatic meeting for Central Asia and Gulf Cooperation Council
Delegations from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia are participating in today's meeting. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, is attending as an honored guest.

Today, Tashkent is hosting the second meeting of foreign ministers of the Strategic Dialogue "Central Asia – Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf."
The meeting is set to review the progress in implementing agreements reached within the framework of the first summit of the heads of state of Central Asia and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf held on July 19, 2023, in Jeddah. There will also be discussions on the development of cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communication, cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as in security and environmental protection.
Additionally, there will be an exchange of views in preparation for the next summit in the "Central Asia – Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf" format in Samarkand in 2025.
