SSS officers seize almost 20 kg of drugs smuggled from Russia and Kazakhstan in Tashkent and its region
Employees of the Tashkent city State Security Service department, together with internal affairs bodies, carried out a number of operative activities in Tashkent and the Tashkent region, as a result of which the distribution of almost 20 kg of synthetic drugs was prevented, the press service of the State Security Service reported.
When checking the house of a citizen living in the Kibray district (Tashkent region), a large batch of drugs prepared for sale was discovered: 4.8 kg of mephedrone, 3.8 kg of spice and 2.1 kg of the psychostimulant “Alpha-PVP”.
It was established that these drugs were imported into the country from Kazakhstan, bypassing customs. In the future, it was planned to sell them in small portions via the Internet.
In another case, drugs were found in the Zangiata district (Tashkent region) in a truck that arrived from Russia and was transporting spare parts for cars. 3.8 kg of mephedrone were hidden in three cardan shafts. This batch of two citizens was also planned to be sold to buyers via the Internet, divided into small doses.
In another case, when checking the place of temporary residence of a native of Syrdarya in the Yangikhayot district of Tashkent, 5.7 kg of the potent substance pregabalin, also imported from Russia, was found in his possession.
This citizen planned to hide small portions of the substance in secluded places in the Yangikhayot and Sergeli districts and sell them through the Telegram messenger, the report reads.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against these persons, and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been applied against them.
