Asian Futsal Cup 2024: Uzbekistan made a comeback in the match with Vietnam and reached the semi-finals

Despite the fact that Jose Venancio Lopez’s team was behind in the score until the 34th minute in the match against Vietnam, in the last 6 minutes Uzbekistan showed a comeback thanks to goals from Elbek Tulkinov and Sunnatilla Jurayev – 2:1.

Thus, Uzbekistan reached the semi-finals of the Asian Cup for the 4th time in a row and will play against Iran on April 26 in the fight for a ticket to the final.

It is worth noting that Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Vietnam, who lost in the quarterfinal matches after Uzbekistan reached the semifinals due to the fact that our representatives are the hosts of the 2024 World Cup, received the right to participate in the playoff games to get the 5th ticket to the 2024 World Cup.

Previously, Tajikistan, Iran, and Thailand received the right to participate in the 2024 World Cup, having won a ticket to the semi-finals. The tournament will take place from September 14 to October 6 in Uzbekistan.
