Prosecutor's office investigates major natural gas theft in Samarkand
Cases of illegal use of gas and electricity have been exposed in the regions.
A pre-investigation check was conducted in collaboration with the Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, local police, "Uzenergoinpection", and the Gas Transport Company (GTF) in the Past Dargom district.
The check revealed that G.X., a resident of the "Nayman" community, had illegally installed twenty homemade heating devices in his greenhouse for commercial purposes without any documentation, resulting in the illegal use of natural gas valued at 688.9 million UZS.
Similarly, in the household of X.S. in the "Kazakh-Nayman" community, it was identified that homemade heating devices had been installed in his own greenhouse, illegally consuming 329.6 million UZS worth of natural gas.
The Department in the Buston district also conducted an operation in cooperation with the Electric Power Supply Company workers.
During this operation, it was found that the responsible parties of T-I. LLC, in collusion with the responsible persons of the district electric power company, installed an electric meter without a control seal in the LLC’s building, illegally using electricity valued at 105.2 million UZS.
Criminal cases have been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code for these incidents, and investigative actions are underway.
