Production of the updated version of the Chevrolet Cobalt car is expected to begin soon in Uzbekistan. According to a Kun.uz source, UzAuto Motors will start issuing contracts for this model from 2025.
It has not been clarified what the interior and exterior of the updated Cobalt will be, whether or not the current Cobalt contract will continue next year, and the price.
In 2022, pictures of the updated Cobalt were also circulated on social networks.
For information, UzAuto Motors was supposed to start production of the new Cobalt car from 2019, but the company abandoned this plan.
“It cannot be called a new Cobalt. GM in Brazil introduced this project in 2016, and later this year Cobalt production will be stopped as well. We believe that it is not appropriate to chase after old models. Accordingly, the new Cobalt production plan will be cancelled,” Aziz Shukurov, deputy chairman of the board of Uzavtosanoat JSC said, commenting on this decision.
